We have been open during the winter months since we took over the business in November of 2003. Our business is comprised mostly of take-out-orders.

We enclose our front porch which helps cut the winter winds from blowing so hard on you. Although we do not have indoor seating, there are tables to sit at to enjoy a cup of coffee or snack. With clear front panels, you are able enjoy the bright winter days.

We take the month of November off for our vacation. We reopen the Donut Shop the Friday of Snodeo Weekend in December each year.

At that time, we add homemade soup and chili to the menu that is enjoyed.

Our winter season is much more relaxed than the summer season. We find things to celebrate about just to liven things up a bit. On Groundhog Day, (February 2) Pat makes Groundhog cookies and spreads Groundhog cheer to everyone she sees. All customers get a cookie as an added treat that day. Of course, then we get ready to celebrate Valentine's Day. This day we make red donuts and add red & pink sugar crystals to the cinnamon and sugar. In March, we get really excited over St. Patrick's Day. We make green donuts for the shop. We also decided to be a part of the annual St. Patrick's Day parade in Old Forge. Since 2004, we have donated green donuts for that grand event! Then, things start to wind down as the snow begins to melt.

We close the month of April for time with our grandchildren and a quick trip to visit family before our busy summer season begins.
